During a vacation to South East Asia in 2000, we visited a village where wonderful lamps were being designed, made, and sold by a local family.

Giving off their beautiful ambient light, these handmade lamps were as beautiful as pieces of art, so we brought a few home to remind us of our trip. We never would have guessed that, long after our return home, our family and friends would continue to ask us for a lamp of their own.

So we went back to the village we’d visited and, in 2001, began importing the lamps that you see here. Now many families in the village that we once visited are being employed to make the lamps that we love, helping the local economy. These lamps are sold exclusively to House of Asia.

We know that you and your customers will enjoy these lamps as much as we do—indeed, they seem to convert any living space into a more sensual, relaxing place.

Years later, we’re still inspired by the materials, the ambience, and the artistry of these lamps.
